Speech pathology services for children 0-7 years old.
Our services
Speech Sound Therapy
Speech sound disorders affect a person’s ability to make the sounds in their language using expected mouth and tongue movements. Speech sound therapy uses principles of motor learning to develop accurate and fluent speech sound production.
E.g. If you cannot say the “L” sound in lamp, we will work on this together!
Many children will experience delays in speech production, such as finding it difficult to say the “k” in “car” instead saying “tar”. These children may benefit from a block of therapy to help get their sounds more quickly and easily.
Other children may have difficulties with multiple sounds, and may require ongoing therapy over a longer period of time.

Language Therapy
Language delays and disorders are identified when children have fewer words in their vocabulary or have difficulties with grammar in their first language.
E.g. a child may have less than 20 words at the age of 2, or may use “baby talk” such as “me wanna go” instead of a complete sentence that others their age might use.
Language therapy focuses on building a child’s understanding and use of more words and in more ways. This can include using alternative forms of communication such as key word sign or iPads to assist in using their new language.
Social Groups
For neurodiverse children with special interests who want to meet and connect with others!
Led by a speech pathologist, these groups are neuroaffirming child-led spaces where children can explore their favourite activities with like-minded peers, working together towards shared goals and developing empathy and friendship skills. Options may include:
Lego
Minecraft
Drawing (especially cute stuff!)
Pokemon
Social groups will run within school terms from weeks 3-8. To register interest in a social group, please advise your child’s age and special interest from the list above. If your child’s special interest is not listed, let us know and we will explore adding additional groups if possible.
